US sets hearing dates for proposed new tariffs on Chinese goods

The U.S. Trade Representative’s office yesterday announced it will host public hearings on July 24 and 25 on proposed tariffs.

Up for proposal are $16 billion worth of tariffs on Chinese goods.

If approved, the new tariffs would bring U.S. levies on Chinese products up to $50 billion.
