The U.S. Senate hit a stalemate on two bills – one from each side of the aisle – designed to address the rising cost of health insurance.
The votes for both bills on Thursday were 51-48, failing to reach the 60 votes needed under the Senate’s legislative filibuster rule.
Senators were looking to curb a surge in premiums that are expected in 2026.
