The U.S. government has resurrected a green energy loan program.
The Department of Energy’s Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing program is issuing a $2.5 billion loan to a joint venture of General Motors and LG Energy Solution. The loan would help fund a lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant.
The green energy loan program famously helped put Tesla on the map, according to The Verge.
