U.S. Rep. Steve Watkins, R-Kansas, was charged with three felony counts of voter fraud.
The charges include an allegation that Watkins voted without being qualified in a local city and school board election last year.
Watkins said the charges are politically motivated, claiming the prosecutor bringing the case has ties to a GOP primary opponent.
