US Rep. Steve Scalise shot in Virginia

U.S. House of Representatives Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot this morning.

Scalise was shot in the hip and multiple Congressional aides were hit by a gunman with a rifle who opened fire at a baseball practice in Virginia.

The gunman, shot by U.S. capital police, was apprehended and taken to an area hospital. Scalise is expected to survive the shooting.
