The Census Bureau on Monday reported the U.S. population over the past decade grew at its slowest pace since the 1930s.
It was the second-slowest rate since the government began counting the population in 1790. The New York Times cited a slowdown in immigration and a declining birthrate.
The data show roughly 331.4 million Americans as of April 1, 2020, a 7.4% increase over the previous decade.
Missouri will not lose any congressional seats based on the population results, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
