The United States and Mexico reached a deal that revises portions of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
“They used to call it NAFTA," President Donald Trump said at the Oval Office. “We’re going to call it the United States-Mexico Trade Agreement."
According to The New York Times, the core of NAFTA remains intact. American companies can continue to operate in Mexico and Canada without tariffs.
Updates included provisions related to the digital economy, automobiles, agriculture and labor unions.
