U.S. manufacturing activity grew in February at its fastest pace in three years amid a surge in new orders.
The Institute for Supply Management reported its gauge of manufacturing activity was 60.8% last month. That compares with 58.7% in January.
A reading above 50 indicates expansion in the manufacturing sector, according to the institute.
