US job creation drops in October

U.S. job creation was down in October due to the impacts of hurricanes and work stoppages, Quartz reports.

U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows nonfarm payroll ranks rose by 12,000. That's down from a downwardly revised 223,000 jobs created in September.

The national unemployment rate in October was flat at 4.1%.
