US increases tariffs on Chinese goods

The U.S. today imposed increased tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.

China's Commerce Ministry, immediately after the clock struck midnight in Eastern Time, signaled plans to enact countermeasures.

Trade talks continue today between the U.S. and China.
