American holiday shoppers purchased $126 billion worth of goods online, according to Adobe Analytics.
Adobe, which measures 80 percent of all online transactions from the top 100 U.S. web retailers, indicated the latest haul was 16.5 percent higher than the previous year.
During Thanksgiving, online shoppers spent $3.7 billion, followed by $6.2 billion on Black Friday.
