The U.S. gross domestic product rose by 2.8% in 2024, following 2.9% growth in 2023, according to data released by the Commerce Department.
During the fourth quarter, the GDP expanded at a 2.3% annual rate.
Economists expected a 2.4% increase in the fourth quarter.
