U.S. factories increased output in August by largest amount in eight months, helped by a robust month at auto plants, according to an article by the

Automakers increased production 5.2 percent, after a 4.5 percent decline in July. Overall manufacturing production rose 0.7 percent in August – the largest increase since December – up from a 0.4 percent dip in July.
