U.S. economy adds 295,000 jobs in February

A lot of the country might have been frozen solid last month, but the latest jobs report suggests hiring is thawing out.
 
The Labor Department on Friday reported 295,000 jobs were added in February and the unemployment rate fell to 5.5 percent, brightening the outlooks of economists for a continuing, if slow, recovery, reports the New York Times.
 
The only dark spot: Wage growth is still inadequate, rising a meager 0.1 percent in February. The economy won't achieve its full potential until workers' pay increases, which economists expect to happen as the jobs market constricts, according to the report.
