US debt to double over the next 30 years

The Congressional Budget Office is projecting U.S. debt will double as a share of the economy over the next three decades.

Currently, U.S. doubt amounts to 77 percent of the country's GDP.

Officials say that rate is on track to leap to 150 percent by 2047.
