U.S. construction spending was down 0.1% in July compared with June's revised estimate, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
July saw $2,139.1 billion spent at a seasonally adjusted annual rate, which compares with $2,140.5 billion in June.
July spending was down 2.8% year over year.
