US, Canada tied as world's 11th freest economies

The United States tied for 11th with Canada on The Cato Institute's 2017 report on the freest economies in the world.

The report considered size of government, legal system and security of property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally and regulation of credit, labor and business.

Hong Kong placed No. 1 on the list for the second year in a row.
