US breaks off talks with South Korea over military costs

The United States ended talks with South Korea on how to share the cost of the countries' military alliance.

The Trump administration had demanded a fivefold increase in South Korea's contribution to nearly $5 billion.

More than 28,000 U.S. troops are stationed in South Korea.
