The U.S. on Saturday began collecting 25% tariffs on many Chinese goods arriving by sea.
The goods previously faced a 10% tariff.
Products affected by the higher tariff include internet modems and routers, vacuum cleaners and furniture.
Also on Saturday, China began collecting higher tariffs on much of a $60 billion list of U.S. goods.
