US bank, car rental firm end promotions with NRA

The nation's largest privately-owned bank holding company and a car rental chain announced yesterday they were ending promotions for National Rifle Association members.

Nebraska-based First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract for the NRA Visa Card. Car rental firm Enterprise indicated its three brands would stop a discount program for NRA members.

"Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA," First National Bank of Omaha spokesman Kevin Langin said in a statement.
