Rachelle Aud Crowe, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, has been ousted by the Trump administration.
Crowe was reportedly terminated under the Vacancies Reform Act that allows the removal of officials appointed by the White House. She's held the job since 2022.
Ali Summers, first assistant in the U.S. attorney's office, is serving as acting U.S. attorney, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
