U.S. announces first antitrust e-commerce prosecution

An Amazon Marketplace seller is being prosecuted for price-fixing in what the U.S. Department of Justice on Monday called the first prosecution to target e-commerce.

The International Business Times reports David Topkins was charged under federal antritrust law for fixing prices of posters online with other sellers.

Topkins has agreed to plead guilty to avoid a maximum 10-year prison term and $1 million fine.
