Upside Foods has sued Florida over the state's ban on lab-grown meat.
The lawsuit alleges the ban is unconstitutional because it violates the Supremacy and Commerce clauses of the Constitution.
In signing the law in May, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the legislation is a way of “fighting back against the global elite’s plan to force the world to eat meat grown in a petri dish or bugs to achieve their authoritarian goals.”
