UPS agreed to a $4.9 million settlement with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The EEOC alleged that UPS discriminated against employees with beards or long hair in accordance to their religious beliefs by not hiring them or placing them in "back-of-the-facility" jobs.
The suit alleged UPS engaged in the discrimination since at least 2005.
