UPS cutting 20,000 jobs

United Parcel Service Inc. announced plans to cut 20,000 jobs this year.

That amounts to around 4% of the company's workforce. The company additionally intends to close 73 leased and owned buildings by year's end.

UPS cited an expected loss of volume from Amazon, its largest client.
