St. John’s Clinic is gearing up to begin construction for a Rolla clinic that will consolidate the hospital’s services in a six-county area.
A ground-breaking ceremony scheduled for Friday has been postponed indefinitely.
The 108,000-square-foot facility will be built on 25 acres at 1605 Martin Spring Drive for an estimated cost of $35 million, according to a St. John’s news release. Services currently provided at three St. John’s Rolla offices will be consolidated there.
The clinic’s service area will cover Phelps, Pulaski, Dent, Crawford, Maries and Texas counties, according to the release. St. John’s Rolla division currently documents about 190,000 patient encounters annually.
Existing Rolla services such as medical imaging, laboratory and pharmacy will be upgraded, and new services will include physical and occupational therapy, a sleep laboratory, endoscopy, pain management procedures, home medical supply and an ambulatory surgery center. Additional space also will be available for current and future St. John’s Rolla primary care and specialty providers – up to 50.
This will be the first St. John’s facility designed to accommodate the physician component of the system’s new Epic Systems electronic health record, which is being implemented at all St. John’s facilities.
