The Rigors of Rentals, a seminar for property managers, will cover various legal issues relating to the ownership and rental of real property. The event will be held as part of Missouri Association of Realtors' annual convention at the Chateau on the Lake. The cost is $25 for MAR section members and $50 for non-members. Wednesday, Oct. 7

The 12th annual Safety & Health Conference of the Ozarks will be held 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8 at the University Plaza Convention Center. This year's theme is Keeping It All Together: Safety and Health, the Great Juggling Act. Seminars of interest to businesspeople in the construction trades include "Fall Arrest Standards," "Workers' Compensation," "Electrical Safety" and "Respiratory Protection," among others. The cost is $95 for one day, $75 for a second employee; and $145 for both days, $100 for a second employee. A student rate of $25 is also available. Salute to Design and Construction Week begins. A joint effort of area design and construction-related organizations, the salute recognizes the contributions of a variety of building trades to the area's economy and quality of life.
