The University of Missouri this week unveiled plans for its next-generation nuclear research reactor.
The school has entered a $10 million agreement with Hyundai Engineering America, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Hyundai Engineering Co. and MPR Associates, among others, for design and licensing purposes.
The reactor, which would be the second nuclear plant to be built in Columbia, is expected to cost more than $1 billion.
