The University of Missouri Board of Curators voted to combine two executive roles.
Mun Choi now will serve as both MU chancellor and University of Missouri System president.
The board also approved the creation of a Council of Chancellors chaired by Choi. The school's three other campus chancellors will serve as members and meet monthly.
