The University of Kansas Health System announced it will require COVID-19 vaccines for all of its Kansas City-area employees.
The mandate also covers volunteers, students, temporary workers and contractors working in KU Health System facilities in the Kansas City area.
“We know we are making the right decision for our organization, our employees, our patients and physicians. We continue to strongly encourage everyone in our community to get vaccinated," said Tammy Peterman, president of the Kansas City division for KU Health System.
