The University of Arkansas agreed to buy Grantham University in Lenexa, Kansas.
The system is acquiring Grantham’s assets and assuming its “discrete liabilities” for $1, with the deal expected to close early next month. UA System President Donald Bobbitt has said that the school’s owner would take a loss of $8 million to $10 million on the sale.
The University of Arkansas will combine Grantham with its current online operations.
