University of Arkansas approves tuition increase

Posted online
It's going to cost a little bit more to call the hogs starting this fall.

The University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees approved a 3.5 to 6 percent tuition increase across its campuses in Pine Bluff, Fort Smith, Monticello, Little Rock and Fayetteville.

According to Arkansas Business, undergraduates at UA-Fayetteville will see a 5 percent increase, or $13.03 per credit hour, to $8,209 compared to $7,818 this year.

What the university referred to as "modest tuition and fee increases" will help fund faculty salaries and efforts to improve retention and graduation, according to the report.
