SLS International Inc. has announced that Universal Studios Hollywood will use 10 of its T28R ribbon-driver speakers in its theme park exhibit, "The Special Effects Stages."
John Louis, audio engineer for Electronic Inc., noted in an SLS release the "warmth and wide disbursement of sound achieved from the company's ribbon drivers" as a primary reason for using them in the exhibit. Electronic Inc. is the firm retained by Universal Studios to re-engineer the audio, video and show control of the "Effects" exhibit, the release stated.
SLS loudspeaker systems have been used previously to reference audio programming for NBC's 2002 Olympic studios, The Recording Academy's Gram-my Producers SoundTable events and the Blair Performing Arts Center associated with Vanderbilt University.
