UnitedHealth profits beat Wall Street expectations

UnitedHealth Group Inc. reported first-quarter profits and revenue that beat Wall Street expectations.

Adjusted earnings were $3.72 per share, above the $3.63 predicted by analysts. Revenue of $64.4 billion beat estimates of $64.2 billion.

The company's shares rose at least 2% in premarket trading Wednesday on the news.
