United Way announces new president, CEO

The United Way of the Ozarks has named a new president and CEO with 17 years of nonprofit experience.

Jennifer Kennally begins May 18, United Way announced today. She replaces John Rush, who retired last week after 20 years with the organization.

Kennally previously was executive director of United Way of Johnson County, Kan., and Olathe Region United Way and campaign director at Heart of America United Way in Kansas City. She also was executive director of the American Cancer Society in Springfield in the 1980s.

An open house for Kennally will be held in late April or May.

United Way provides funding to its member agencies and grants to regional nonprofit organizations.
