United to drop Cleveland hub in $2B savings push

Booking a connecting flight through Cleveland just got a little bit more difficult.

United Continental Holdings Inc. (NYSE: UAL) will drop Cleveland as a connecting hub, shrinking average daily departure 60 percent by June.

According to Bloomberg, the move by the world's second-largest airline will cut 470 jobs as the carrier works to cut $2 billion in annual costs by 2017.
