United threatens to end service at JFK

United Airlines is threatening to end service at New York City's John F. Kennedy Airport over a dispute with the Federal Aviation Administration.

United officials said the airline would end service at JFK in October if the FAA does not grant it additional flights.

"If we are not able to get additional allocations for multiple seasons, we will need to suspend service at JFK, effective at the end of October," United officials said.
