United Continental Holdings Inc. has remained silent on the medical condition of its new CEO, who was admitted to the hospital Thursday, prompting questions from observers about who will lead the company in his absence.
A source familiar with the situation told Reuters Oscar Munoz, 56, suffered a heart attack.
As of Sunday night, United declined to provide updates about the health of Munoz or who would handle his responsibilities.
