United Airlines is immediately raising checked baggage fees after a rival did the same.
JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) recently announced it would raise its fees to $30 for the first checked bag.
United has followed suit, raising the fee to $30 from $25 on flights within North America, the Caribbean and Central America.
