United CEO: Removed passenger was 'disruptive and belligerent'

United CEO Oscar Munoz is siding with employees after a man was forcibly removed from a plane in Chicago on Sunday.

In a letter to employees, Munoz said workers "followed established procedures" when removing a passenger from a plane because it was overbooked. He also called the passenger "disruptive and belligerent."

Public outrage has occurred after video circulated showing the man being dragged from the plane and later returning with blood on his face.
