United Airlines rewards hackers for spotting IT flaws

Two hackers scored 1 million air travel miles for uncovering security flaws in United Airlines' software systems and privately disclosing them to the company.

The company offers miles through its "bug bounty" program, encouraging hackers to work for them, according to United Press International.

Bounty programs are common for companies that include Microsoft, Facebook and Google.
