UMKC raises $48M for downtown arts campus

After raising $48 million for a downtown arts campus,  University of Missouri-Kansas City is now seeking a match from the state government.

The $96 million Phase I portion of the project would include new digs for the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.

The University of Missouri System Board of Curators is including the matching fund action item in its 2017 state budget request.
