UMKC, banks partner on scholarship program

The University of Missouri-Kansas City is partnering with a handful of banks on a new scholarship program.

Arvest Bank, Academy Bank, Commerce Bank, Lead Bank, UMB Bank and an anonymous foundation have pledged to donate at least $25,000 for five years to the fund. The Bloch Family Foundation is providing matching funds.

The Banking Leaders of Tomorrow initiative will award scholarships of up to $10,000 per recipient.
