Baker, who is also board chairwoman of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, received the award at Leadership Springfield’s annual meeting June 5. Leadership Springfield is a chamber affiliate.
The award is given to a Leadership Springfield graduate every year. The recipient is selected based on commitment to the organization, community involvement, citizenship, leadership, and moral and ethical standards.
Baker became the chamber’s board chairwoman in January. She has been with UMB for more than 20 years, and she is involved in Junior League and Girl Scouts.
