Kansas City-based UMB Bank has filed suit against a vendor.
The lawsuit filed this month alleges one of Convergent Outsourcing Inc.'s employees accessed confidential data that was unauthorized under the company's contract.
Additionally, UMB claims in the lawsuit that Convergent stopped providing services for weeks. Convergent has said malware on its information technology systems caused the work stoppage.
