UK unemployment rises for first time since Brexit vote

The United Kingdom's unemployment rate has increased for the first time since the Brexit referendum in 2016.

However, at 4.4 percent, the rate is still just 0.1 percentage points above its lowest levels in decades.

During the three-month period ended Dec. 31, 46,000 additional people were added to the unemployment tally in the United Kingdom.
