UK economy shrugs off Brexit fears

The United Kingdom's economy grew 2.3 percent in the third quarter despite fears it would slump after the Brexit vote.

According to the Office for National Statistics, growth in services offset falls in other industries.

Services grew 0.8 percent while construction plunged 1.4 percent and manufacturing dropped 1 percent.
