Uber lost $2.8B in 2016

Uber reports it lost $2.8 billion in 2016, excluding its business in China.

Midway through the year, the company sold its China business, which previously had been losing the company $1 billion a year.

Gross bookings came to $20 billion last year, with net revenue totaling $6.5 billion.
