Uber announced a $500 million investment in its freight business.
An investor group led by New York-based Greenbriar Equity Group agreed to buy $500 million in preferred stock in a deal that values the unit at $3.3 billion.
Through the deal, the managing partners of Greenbriar, Michael Weiss and Jill Raker will join the board of Uber Freight.
