Uber jettisons flying car project

Uber reached a deal to hand its flying car project, dubbed Uber Elevate, to air taxi startup Joby Aviation.

Uber plans to invest $75 million to inject cash into Joby’s efforts to build a flying taxi. The companies are slated to become partners when the startup's flying car hits the market.

The announcement came a day after Uber entered an agreement to sell its autonomous car project to Aurora Innovation.
